The report assess the strengths and weaknesses of the current Minimum Income Schemes in Ireland, identifies obstacles to implementing adequate and accessible minimum income schemes and presents a road map for the progressive realization of adequate schemes in Ireland. This report and the road map will be the subject of a conference organised by EMIN Ireland to be held in Dublin on Wednesday 18 June.

ITUC new report on Social Protection
The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) release a new report on Social Protection. ITUC describes social protection as “essential for social justice and inclusion, strong democracies, equitable growth and resilience during crises”. The report gives an overview of social protection and social assistance – looking at minimum income in a global context and linking it to the inequality debate.
