Website Launch: Social Inclusion and Dignity in Old Age – Promoting participatory approaches to use reference budgets
The GRUNDTVIG-Learning Partnership involves organizations from Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and the UK. The main aim of the project is the promotion of self-confidence and self-determination in vulnerable older people enabling them to maintain dignity in old age. In a series of five transnational workshops and a final “Round Table” in Brussels, the project hopes to create new opportunities for improved cooperation between older people’s organizations and all participants in the field of social inclusion, debt prevention and consumer education. It is also exploring innovative initiatives and learning methods that can help strengthen an older person’s ability to manage on a low income and monitor the efficacy of “reference budgets” in improving the lives of older people.
